Saying Goodbye to Loved ones

Excerpt

THIDDUMIR

The king has promised to get you and the kids out first and that he will keep an eye on you and help you reestablish the shop in a new location. Take care and try not to overwork yourself, especially while pregnant. I-

BRYNWYN

pulls away sobbing and shaking her head.

BRYNWYN

(Sobbing and shouting)

NO! I don’t believe you. You can’t be doing this! Say it is a lie right now!

Written for the final assignment given in the course RPG Writing Workshop at Carnegie Mellon University. The scene is where a character I created, Thiddumir, is saying goodbye to his loved ones before going off to fight the balrog. It is a scene taken from the RPG campaign that a team I was on wrote for this course, called The Fall Of Moria. The script is also on the project page for that RPG as well.

LOTR Sam Vs Shagrat Action

Written for an assignment given in the course RPG Writing Workshop at Carnegie Mellon University.  This scene is a hypothetical scene to show what may have happened if Sam had caught up to the Orcs who caught Frodo and had tried to do something about it.

Excerpt

SAM hears the heavy footsteps retreat and collapses in the shadows against a wall.

SHELOB’s cries can be heard in the near distance, but she does not make an appearance.

SAM
(Gasping)
Way to go Sam. You’ve messed it up real good this time, you fool.

LoTR Aragorn vs UGLÚK Action

Excerpt

UGLÚK
(Sneers and bangs a fist on his chest)
I am Uglúk, leader of the Urukhai...!

ARAGORN
(Poises battle ready, and graces his opponent with a steely expression)
Enough! I care not who you are. Let us fight. If I win, your men keep your word and free the halflings. If you win, you will feast on the meat of men tonight!

Written for an assignment given in the course RPG Writing Workshop at Carnegie Mellon University. This scene is a hypothetical scene of what could possibly have happened if the Fellowship had caught up to the orcs who had taken Merry and Pippin. The idea behind the scene is to mimic the Theseus and Eleuthera Scene in the Last of the Amazonians.

LOTR Aragorn Vs Boromir Action

Written for an assignment given in the course RPG Writing Workshop at Carnegie Mellon University. The scene is a hypothetical moment of what if Aragorn had arrived while Boromir was attacking Frodo.

This was another take / rewrite of the previously shown Aragorn vs Uglúk scene. In the scene with Uglúk, there was no surprise in what happened. There was no shock in the characters,  so in this fight with Boromir and Aragorn, I tried to add some shock value. The idea behind the scene is to mimic the Theseus and Eleuthera Scene in the Last of the Amazonians.

Excerpt

ARAGORN
(Runs forward and quickly shoves BOROMIR off of
FRODO and pulls FRODO behind him, shielding him from BOROMIR)
Boromir, what do you think you are doing? Come to your senses! Do you even understand what you just attempted to do to Frodo?

BOROMIR
(Glares at ARAGORN and attempts to lunge at FRODO. His eyes look crazed)
Enough Aragorn, do not try to stop me. You cowards are what will bring about the end of men. The ring is the very tool that would help us win this war.

(Turning his eyes to Frodo he shouts angrily)
Give me the ring you miserable halfling!
